Rachel Rothman is a soprano and cross-genre artist who has been dazzling audiences around the world since her International debut with the Trentino Music Festival in the Dolomites of Italy in 2015. She holds a Master’s Degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in Opera Performance where she was awarded the Phyllis Wattis Scholarship, and had the rare opportunity to sing leading roles in both operas and musicals. Notable roles during her time at SFCM included “Alyce” in Tom Cipullos’s gut-wrenching opera Glory Denied, “Cathy” in the popular musical by Jason Robert Brown, The Last 5 Years, and “Mrs. Grose” in Benjamin Britten’s The Turn of the Screw. Other roles have included “Nella” in Gianni Schicchi, “First Lady” in Die Zauberflote, “Duchess” in The Gondoliers, and “Rosalinde” in Die Fledermaus. Rachel was a Colburn Fellow at Songfest 2016 and a Young Artist with San Diego Opera’s Opera Exposed program, and received her Bachelor’s of Music from San Diego State University the same year.

Rachel is proud to continue to hold San Francisco as her artistic and teaching home base, and she has a thriving voice studio with multiple locations across the Bay Area.
